This map was put together by the Canal Community Gardens & Trails Collaborative. The Canal Community Gardens & Trails Collaborative is working to establish a cohesive system of trails and community gardens in San Rafael’s Canal neighborhood. Collaborative partners, including Canal Alliance, City of San Rafael, Safe Routes to School, College of Marin, Trust for Public Land, National Park Service – Rivers, Trails & Conservation Assistance, are working to increase access to healthy foods, encourage physical activity, foster community connectivity and pride in a culturally sensitive manner, and provide an atmosphere that encourages an environment of healthy lifestyles and community well being.
