Marin Event of Interest

The Wonders of Glacier Bay

Date:

03/20/10

Time:

7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

Description:

Southeast Alaska is one of the world's most dynamic regions. The dense forests here support large numbers of bears, eagles and other wildlife. The rich waters teem with salmon, whales, porpoise, seals and other marine mammals. Amidst the coastal mountains, huge glaciers march to the sea. Join us for a discussion, slides and a ten-minute video about Glacier Bay. Registration is not required, and coffee, tea and cookies will be served. This inspiring evening is free and open to the public, and also serves as a pre-trip informational talk for the boat-based natural history tour of Glacier Bay with David Wimpfheimer scheduled for July 9-14, 2010.
